About Us

Walk into Islip Elks Lodge 2533 on a social night and you'll understand immediately why members stay for a decade or more. One longtime member put it plainly: they treated him like an Elk before he ever signed a card. That kind of instant belonging isn't accidental. It's the culture this lodge on Nassau Ave has built over years of showing up for the Islip community.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has been one of America's most trusted fraternal organizations since 1868, and Lodge 2533 carries that tradition forward with local muscle. Members here fund scholarships for Long Island students, support veterans, run youth programs, and step in whenever a neighbor needs a hand. The work is real, the results are visible, and the people doing it are your fellow residents.

Two reviews and a perfect five-star rating tell only a fraction of the story. The fuller picture is the regulars who show up Tuesday after Tuesday, the fundraisers that quietly change lives, and the handshakes that turn strangers into brothers and sisters. If you've ever wanted to do more for your town, this is where that starts.

What We Offer

Lodge 2533 offers members a packed calendar of social events, from casual drop-in nights to organized dinners and holiday celebrations. The social hall on Nassau Ave is a genuine gathering space where conversations run long and the atmosphere is always easy.

Beyond the social side, the lodge runs active charitable programs: youth scholarships, veterans' assistance, community grants, and holiday drives that put resources directly into the hands of Islip-area families who need them. Members also gain access to the broader Elks National network, including lodges across the country, member discounts, and a national charitable foundation that amplifies local giving.

New members go through a straightforward application process and are welcomed into committees, events, and volunteer opportunities right away. There's no waiting period on belonging here.

"I have been a member of the Islip Elks for 12 years. I came down one evening during a social and had a great time. They treated me like I was an Elk already. I attended another social night, and started to learn all the great things the Elks do in our community and around the country. We support our Veterans at he Beacon houses, V.A. hospitals, have a national Hoop Shoot contest, scholarships and so much more. Did you know that if you join the Islip Elks Lodge, you can enter any Elks Lodge in the country. Come down any 1st or 3rd Tuesday of the month for our social night and see what we're all about."

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
